Level One Survey
You can do this survey even if you do not have any previous knowledge or experience of woodland archaeology.
The aim of the Level One Survey is to familiarise yourself with the wood you are investigating. You will begin to understand how much archaeology it contains and also the character of that archaeology.
The Level One Survey is a methodical walk through of the wood, recognising the archaeological features and plotting them on a map.
