Brede High Woods, East Sussex
Brede High Woods is situated six miles north of Hastings. This 647 acres of ancient woodland and heath is full of archaeology from woodland management, local transport, orchard, ironworkings, farmland and much more. There are holloways, remains of farm buildings, iron ore minepits, banks, sawpits, charcoal platforms, lynchets, quarries and different types of tree management to be seen.
