Shorne Woods Country Park, Kent

Shorne Woods Country Park is between Gravesend and Rochester.  It comprises almost 300 acres of mixed woods, once part of the Cobham Estate. It has a wealth of archaeology, investigated by the Shorne Woods Archaeology Group.  Excavation of the medieval Randall Manor, now hidden deep within the ancient chestnut coppice, takes place each year.
